Dear Community,
Our physical space of the yoga studio is closing.
Even the good things come to end, I would argue that even the most magnificent things (which is what this space is to me) come to an end. It is with a heavy and humble heart that I tell you that the studio can not be sustained economically and Free To Be Yoga will be hosting its final class on December 23rd, 2023, at 9 am. We are closing the doors at Free To Be Yoga on Sutton Rd.
It’s been an incredible 2.5 years. I have seen people’s live change, I have seen them discover lost pieces of themselves and I have watched people reconnect to their bodies over and over again. I will cherish all of my moments with each of you.
I want to say THANK YOU to each of you for growing and blooming with me these past 2.5 years. You all have a very special place in my heart. While this chapter closes, our services on N. Adrian Highway at Free To Be Massage will remain open. I am immensely grateful for the support and love we’ve received over the years. How and if in person yoga will be offered in the future is yet to be determined.
Please continue to join us for classes throughout December as we bring our time at the studio to a warm and intentional close. I hope to share many more hugs and possibly tears with you all. These last two months I will be extending my gratitude and love to this physical space as it has held so much for all of us.
We will also be departing from our wonderful Community Wellness Manager, Kay. Without her we would not have made it this far. Please extend all of your gratitude and best future wishes to her.
A big shoutout to our founding members, who without them, we would not have had a joyous 2.5 half years. You have my gratitude and I am so thankful you shared this vision with me from the beginning.
If you would like to continue to practice the Free To Be Philosophy at your convenience check out Austeen’s Online Yoga Academy. It’s an extensive collection of over 80 videos spanning Vinyasa, Tender, Yin, Morning Flow and Beginner Yoga for $25 a month.
You can register by clicking the “Online Yoga Academy” tab at the top.
Thank you for being a part of our journey.
Warm regards,
Austeen Heeney

Testimonials
What People Are Saying
“Yoga practice with Austeen is non-judgmental space to grow both physically and emotionally. She practices moving mediation full of mindfulness, gratitude, and spirituality. I started with her very much a beginner to yoga. She always offers modifications that meet the needs of those new to practice as well as participants looking to build strength and attempt advanced poses. Austeen and her teachings are an asset to this community!”
“I have taken many yoga classes from Austeen, they are fantastic. She offer tons of options during class to make sure you get out of it what you want no matter that vibe of the class for the day. Highly recommend!”
“Austeen is a remarkable young woman with the kindest heart and soul. She has a tremendous knowledge base of the body and it’s ability to move in everyday activities and during different types of yoga. Her calm demeanor makes an “older person” like me feel so welcomed and never ashamed of what I can or cannot do. Austeen makes it her mission to help others understand what, why, & how the body should move to get the most out of your practice. She is inviting just in her presence and smile. Never fear trying when Austeen is the leader!”
